Chris Honeysett

My girlfriend and I went to the big Madison art fair this weekend. Well, technically I think it’s two art fairs. The Art Fair on the Square and the Art Fair Off the Square. I have mixed feelings about art fairs. Generally there will be a few things that I like and a lot of stuff that just isn’t my style at all. I saw quite a few things that I was really impressed with. One was Chris Honeysett’s photography.

Ariel and I were both really blown away by his work. He was also a very nice guy, answering questions that he probably answers a million times over a weekend like this. I would’ve really like to have bought some of his stuff, but fine art photography is a little out of my price range right now. He had a book and his website has information on how to order his work.

So I had a good time at the fair. I bought an ink drawing of a winter landscape that I really love. I’ll try to post a picture of it sometime. Despite the excruciating heat I had a really good time.

Hi. I came across this post and thought I’d let you know that Chris sells his work online too, at http://www.chrishoneysett.com. It’s somewhere you can check out his new work if you don’t make it to a fair (he updates the site as he makes new work) or he’s not exhibiting in a particular year.
