I like this post. For one, it’s true. For another, it contains links to a lot of neat running shoes. Not literally, but you’ll see. I already use TaDaList, but am feeling hindered by it’s current limitations. I think GTDTiddlyWiki looks cool. I want something I can host, though.

I’m liking the functionality of the delicious service so far. I don’t really care so much about the social network aspect of it, but I like having an online repository of bookmarks. I tend to use it a little bit more for a list of things to read later than actual bookmarks, but it’s close. I suppose other people might look at my bookmarks, but I rarely look at anyone else’s. The thing that really bugs me is that I can’t find any export feature. What if the service stops? What if I want to use something else? So I think I’m going to have to write something that will run through delicious and rip bookmarks and tags out. Export them to XML, something like that. Other people might be interested in that.

I’m still bugged by the disparity of all the services I use. I want one program, hosted on the server my webpage(s) are on, that will aggregate my RSS feeds, manage my bookmarks, host my blog, keep track of my todo lists, and massage my feet. Is that so much to ask for?

edit: I found something will either search for tags. If they could just modify it to search by users then that would probably work just fine. HTML is just about as good as XML, it just takes a little more work to parse it and work with it.
