I photograph because I have to. It makes no sense for me not to. I shoot what I like based on whims and instincts. Projects arise out of this and, if I decide to, I make sense out of it later. I don't work in what some refer to as a "conceptual framework" any more than the average person works in a conceptual framework when they tie their shoes or brush their teeth. I photograph because I love to and it makes me happy.
